WINTHROP CUSTOM ROLLER GUIDES ARE USED FOR A VARIETY OF BIG GAME FISH, TESTED UNDER THE MOST GRUELING CONDITIONS. The X-Caliber roller guide’s one-piece frame is designed to stretch and flex with the action of the rod and not give up any strength in the frame. XC30 & XC80 frames have an extra wind-on clearance that a #2 pencil can fit through for large knots and/or hardware. On our XC130W set a standard felt tip marker can fit through every guide with ample clearance, allowing large knots and/ or hardware to pass through easily. These roller guides have the most clearance out of any available on the market.

- XC30-BU SET 5 - Includes one XC1M-BU, two XC2M-BU, and two XC3M-BU.
- XC80-BU SET 6 - Includes one XC1W-BU, two XC2-BU, and three XC3-BU.
- XC130-BU SET 6 - Includes one XC1W-BU, two XC2W-BU, and three XC3W-BU.
When we build rods with these guides, we usually use the following:
XC30 ("M" sized guides) sets on 30/50, 50/80, and 80/100 Stand-Up Rods.
XC80 Sets are usually used on heavy tackle 80-130 class giant tuna style rods.
XC130 ("W" sized guides) sets are usually used on the heaviest of giant tuna rods, or 130 IGFA chair rods.
