Van Staal VR50 + VR75 Light Tackle Spinning Reels

A relatively new reel from Van Staal, the VR series was designed to meet the demand for a sealed, light-weight, and cost-effective option for surfcasters and inshore anglers. The VR50 is the light tackle reel in this series designed to be used on 7-8 foot rods. This reel is much faster than the others, with a 6.8:1 retrieve ratio. This is an excellent light tackle reel for albies, and stripers. These reels were designed by Rob Koelewyn, and they are machined from aluminum, with a titanium main shaft.
